Agency: Environmental Quality

Who We Are

The Office of Human Resources (OHR) offers a wide range of personnel services to DEQ employees. OHR also oversees all hiring processes in DEQ, ensuring the staffing needs are met for all divisions and offices.

To apply for a position in the DEQ, go to the Civil Service Commission home page at http://www.michigan.gov/mdcs and click on MI-JOBs, found in the right hand margin.  This site will provide you with a list of all current vacancies within the State of Michigan.  To apply for any State position, applicants must follow the links for completing their on-line profile which includes creating a username and password.  Applicants will receive automatic notification that their application has been received.

Paid Student Assistant positions are also posted on the Civil Service Commission website.  If you are interested in an unpaid or intern position, contact Thomas Occhipinti at 517-373-2379 or email to occhipintit@michigan.gov

DEQ does not accept unsolicited résumés; only documentation received in response to a specific vacancy will be considered.  Check the website frequently as vacancy postings are added daily.
