Council and Staff Information The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs is made up of 15 members who are appointed by the Governor. MCACA Strategic Plan 2006 - 2010 Spotlight Transportation Grants to Help K-12 Schools Travel to Cultural Events The Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) announce a transportation grant program to help pay for schools to travel to arts and cultural programs or exhibits in Michigan. Arts and Culture are Pure Michigan The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids and Travel Michigan are proud to announce the first arts and culture centered tourism campaign as part of Travel Michigan's "Pure Michigan" marketing campaign. The Arts and Humanities Media Project The Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs have partnered with Michigan Public Media to create several new video segments about how arts and culture play a vital role in quality of life, economic and community development.
