As of July 1, 2008, responsibility for the Michigan Centennial Farm Program has been assumed by the Historical Society of Michigan, a non-profit organization devoted to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Michigan history. The State Historic Preservation Office will no longer be involved in the administration of this program.
