LANSING, March 6, 2002 – The winning never
stops with the Lottery’s Michigan Rolldown Game! Two lucky jackpot winners,
one from Dearborn and one from Southfield, each won $8,465
before taxes in the February 20 drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing
were: 4, 12, 19, 25 and 33.
Cecilia Paciejewski, 81, of Dearborn said
she was "shocked and very happy" to learn she held a jackpot-winning
ticket. Paciejewski wasn’t too concerned about misplacing her winning
"easy pick" ticket—she kept it on the kitchen table until claiming
her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Dearborn Heights. A Lottery
player for 25 years, Paciejewski, who said she enjoys "hanging out with the
girls," has no specific plans for her winnings at this time—but surely
she and her husband, Steve, will enjoy their newfound fortune! The homemaker
purchased her winning Michigan Rolldown ticket at Tri Daly Drug, 25853 Ford
Road, in Dearborn Heights.
The second jackpot winner, Previn Granger of Southfield,
purchased his winning ticket at Sam D
Market, 20411 John R. St., in Detroit.
The February 20 drawing yielded $58,472 in prizes
shared by 19,072 winners. In addition to the jackpot winners, 71 winners matched
four numbers for a prize of $97; 1,957 winners matched three numbers for a $9
prize; and 17,042 matched two numbers for the $1 prize.
Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on
February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at
7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available
at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide. Also, effective March 4
through March 30, Michigan Rolldown players can once again take advantage of the
"Bonus Play" promotion, which offers players who purchase a ticket
with five wagers or more an "easy pick" ticket—absolutely free!
Players who purchase a 10-panel ticket will receive two free "easy
picks."
