Fantasy 5 prize claimed

LANSING, September 28, 2009 - The first half of the September 18 Fantasy 5 prize worth $50,001 has been claimed by a lucky Lottery player. The winner from Detroit matched all five numbers on one line and three of five numbers on another line to win the prize.

The winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at Speedway #8839, 20731 E. 13 Mile Rd., in Roseville.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
