Consumer Advisory: Uncle John's Cider Mill Old Fashioned Apple Cider potentially contaminated with E. coli

MDARD today issued a consumer advisory for Uncle John’s Old Fashioned Apple Cider produced by Uncle John’s Cider Mill located at 8614 US-127 in St. Johns, MI, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Shiga-toxin producing E. coli bacteria. Consumers who have purchased this product at Uncle John’s Cider Mill are urged not to consume it and dispose of the product immediately

State Recognizes the First MAEAP Verified Woodland

Warren Suchovsky of Stephenson in Menominee County, became the state’s first landowner to achieve the Forest, Wetlands and Habitat System verification under the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. MAEAP is housed within the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development with local technical assistance for this verification provided by the Menominee County Conservation District.

Residents with verifiable medical conditions are being asked to submit their applications for the 2016 annual Pesticide Notification Registry.
