Michigan Elder Justice Coalition

The Michigan Elder Justice Coalition, through coordinated statewide educational briefings, media outreach, information dissemination and advocacy seeks to achieve the following:
  • Increase public awareness of elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of older adults in Michigan.
  • Increase awareness and public support for key recommendations of the Elder Abuse taskforce (2006) to create a comprehensive approach to addressing elder justice issues.
  • Monitor and appropriately advise or inform other relevant legislation and regulations that pertain to the prevention of elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation in all living situations.
