Collector versions of each university license plate can be purchased for a one-time fee of $35.  The selected university will receive $25.  Two types of collector plates are available for each university, the "Be True To Your School" collector plate and the more traditional "SAMPL" license plate.  Each plate displays the university logo on the left side.
