| • "S" School Bus Endorsement Required for School Bus Drivers To comply with requirements of the federal Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act, the Secretary of State will begin requiring commercial driver applicants who operate a school bus to obtain an "S" endorsement on their driver's license.
| • Chauffeur License You must be at least 16 years of age, have completed driver education, and passed a chauffeur license knowledge test before a chauffeur license can be issued.
| • Moped If you have a valid operator or chauffeur license, you are allowed to operate a moped on public roadways.
| • Minor Restricted License (Special Farming Need Only) The Department of State may issue a restricted driver's license to a minor who is at least 14 years old when a severe hardship in the family farming operation is demonstrated and no alternative transportation is available.
