Replacing a Lost License (out of state)

A Michigan resident who has lost, destroyed or mutilated his/her valid Michigan driver license while out of state may contact the Out-of-State Resident Services Unit to request a driver extension or alternate process. 

 

The person must provide an out-of-state mailing address, proof of Michigan residency, and Social Security Number before the request can be processed.
